What is Dimple creation surgery?

Dimples form naturally on the cheek with a little defect present in cheek musculature. Skin lying over this defect gets wedged down to the underlying connective tissue. Your smile causes the forming of dimples. This naturally occurring process becomes a medium of our mimic as we accomplish this through our dimple creation surgery. With a small incision in the inner cheek lining, a small seam is passed at the desired dimple portion. The suture is then tied to the under skin catching the surface and letting the dimple form. In some cases, a little chunk of tissue is removed from the skin for dimple enhancement.

What Should be your Expectations from this Surgery

• The surgery takes half an hour. You are allowed to go home as soon as you get done with the surgery procedure and you can also begin your routine from the next day.
• It is a simple, straightforward procedure which does not include any such complications when done by a board certified cosmetic surgeon with experience in performing dimpleplasty.
• You may experience slight bruising or swelling, but is temporary.
• The medically formed dimples might take few days before they start appear as natural ones. In the starting, the dimples would be present even when you aren’t smiling.

• The surgeon may ask you to get few tests done before the surgery
• Do not smoke for few weeks before the procedure
